Welcome to the website about our plans for a new Premier Inn hotel on Bognor Regis Esplanade.

Our ambition is to redevelop land where Clarence Road meets the Esplanade into our latest format hotel. This land includes the old Fire Station building.

We believe this is an ideal location for our customers in the heart of Bognor Regis from where they will be able to enjoy everything the seaside town has to offer.

We are currently in the process of designing the new hotel ahead of submitting a planning application to Arun District Council this spring. If we are granted planning permission, the hotel will be built and owned by Whitbread – Premier Inn’s parent company.

Our plans are for a high quality, sustainable 116-bedroom hotel. This would mean a multi-million pound investment in the local economy during construction and create the equivalent of around 30 full-time jobs on opening.

If approved, the 116-bedroom hotel would provide a family friendly affordable destination for many people travelling for leisure and business throughout the year.



Our public consultation events took place on the 8th and 9th March 2023. Our period of public consultation is now closed. Thank you to everyone who attended the events and for all feedback we have received. This will be considered as we review our proposals, prior to submitting a planning application.
